Back in August, Storybox Films shot a stunning wedding in Cambridge at the incredibly picturesque Longstowe Hall. Dating back from the reign of Elizabeth 1, Longstowe Hall lies hidden within ancient woodland that opens out to reveal a glorious English garden. With its spectacular double borders sweeping down to the lake, Longstowe Hall offers the ideal setting for a truly romantic wedding in unspoilt countryside
We arrived at Longstowe Hall to film Tivi and Jake's wedding on a scorching summers day. At the time we weren't quite sure what to expect, and I remember Googling the venue the night before to some quick last minute research and thinking wow this place looks special.
It wasn't until we arrived and walked around the grounds to do a location recce that we realised how beautiful Longstowe Hall is. It was twelve thirty in the afternoon and the temperature was getting almost unbearable and set to be one of the warmest days of the year. It was challenging to film an outside ceremony with no shade in sight. However, the beautiful view made it worthwhile.
Filming Jake and Tivi's wedding ceremony was a pleasure. The gardens at Longstowe Hall were the perfect backdrop to film the coming together of two people, whose hearts and spirits are entwined as one. And to top it off they both had prepared touching vows to read to one another which always intensifies the emotion of a wedding ceremony and ultimately the wedding video. We are delighted that Tivi and Jake chose Storybox Films to film their very special day at the stunning Longstowe Hall.
