Wedding Videography and Photography Review

There are honestly no words to express how much we love the videos, especially the highlight film. I think I've already watched it about 12 times in the last couple of hours and it is getting better every time. The song you have chosen is absolutely perfect - thank you so much for spending so much time trying to find the track - I'm sorry it was such a pain we definitely didn't mean to be THOSE people. Thank you so so much once again for capturing our day so perfectly while also making us feel at ease. We couldn't recommend you and Kylie highly enough to others - we keep telling anyone we know getting married about you both.

Tell us a little bit about you: Hello! Millie here - Malcolm is in the background cooking spaghetti carbonara (one of his specialties). We are your fairly typical 28/29 year olds. We both sadly work rather boring corporate jobs, but around that, we absolutely LOVE to cook (& eat), and so also spend a fair amount of time in the gym working it off! Malcolm's into cross-fit and I'm a fairly keen cyclist. We're lucky to have a big group of friends in Bristol from my school days so we're also often out and about seeing them (when not in a lockdown of course...). We're also both really close with our families and having both of our nephews as page boys running around in kilts will be one of the highlights of our day. Background on kilts - Malcolm is Scottish (Edinburgh) so expect bagpipes, kilts & Scottish accents!

Please explain how the two of you met and list any interesting things about your love story that you want us to know: We met on the first night of freshers’ week at Edinburgh University. My mum (Millie) had told me not to go to Uni and get a boyfriend straight away but by the second week, we were already official. Malcolm will claim (and has done in the background whilst I type) that I told him to ask me out... We studied the same course and lived in the same halls so it was quite romantic! We've done long distances twice and are now happily back together in Bristol. This year will be 10 years since we started dating,

The proposal I'm handing the laptop over to Malcolm to explain this one... I'd always planned a perfect moment, with a perfect speech, but it didn’t always work out that way. We were on a road trip around Scotland. On our first day, we went out to climb the Cairngorm mountain (perfect moment), but the weather was awful, we were warned by the rangers to not climb to the peak but did it anyway (not so perfect). I spent the whole climb stressed out and working up the courage to ask the big question. When we got to the top, the wind was blowing an absolute gale so we could hardly hear each other (not-so-perfect speech). Despite all the imperfections, I'd never been so sure of something in my life. I even managed to capture it on my GoPro. And just as we decided to walk back down the mountain it started to rain...sideways. we'd never been so cold, but it was an amazing feeling to be snuggled up in the car and reliving the moment.

Why did you choose North Cadbury Court and what makes it special to you? We've got a pretty big guest list for the entire day and we were quite adamant that if we were to get married in a big beautiful building, we wanted to be in the big beautiful building, not a marquee. The ballroom actually made me (Millie) cry when I walked into it - not like me at all. Also, the back aspect of the house is absolutely beautiful - you'll see the sketch of it on a few things throughout the day. There is also a beautiful walled garden which will hopefully make for some lovely photos.

Please list 3 things that will be unique about your wedding at North Cadbury Court.

  1. Because we're in England - the fact we're having a big fat Scottish wedding will be quite unique. Bagpipes and kilts!

  2. The music - we've got a sax player during the reception drinks and then the band is awesome. They play medleys of classic tunes mashed together and they're absolutely hilarious. They get really involved with the crowd and are really good fun.

  3. Less relevant for the photos as you guys will have headed off by then, but we're having an after-party. The venue has a disco vault downstairs which is awesome, so the party continues after 12pm!

What part of the wedding day at North Cadbury Court are you looking forward to the most:: Millie - when the church doors open and I see Malcolm at the end of the aisle. Malcolm - the dancing after the dinner

Why did you choose us to be your wedding videographer and photographer?: I think on Instagram - sorry it was quite a long time ago! One of the main reasons we chose you guys is we were finding lots and lots of photographers especially are using very sepia-style filters on photos at the moment. Whilst they are beautiful, it's really not us. I loved the romantic, light (without being really high contrast/overly popping colours), and just the really beautiful filter you have on the photos and videos. We also love that you work together as videographers & photographers - I love the fact you will be considerate of each other’s styles and so the end product will tie together.
