Why did you choose Elmore Court and what makes it special to you?
In all honesty, I (Flo), found the venue online many years ago. I have always daydreamed about my wedding day and in the past have spent hours pouring over venues and dresses and décor (a little crazy I know). Elmore Court was a firm favorite because of its perfect mix of old and new. The way the main house has been restored makes it wonderfully traditional but not at all stuffy. And the Gillyflower looks modern and elegant, with the ability to dress it up as much or as little as you want. We particularly wanted a venue with accommodation so that our little nieces and nephews (who are flower girls and page boys), could be put to bed without our siblings having to leave the party. It’s also such a bonus to have the Coach House for the Bride and bridesmaids the night before the wedding. It’ll take a lot of stress out of the morning of the wedding, and will also feel like a proper girly sleepover the night before!
What will be unique about your wedding at Elmore Court?
As it’s Easter weekend, we’re having Lindt chocolate bunnies as wedding favors to put on each guest’s place setting. We’ve also planned a fireworks display that we’re keeping as a surprise for the guests until the night! And instead of having a traditional guestbook, we’ve bought bottles of wine for our guests to sign that we’ll open on future anniversaries and reminisce about the special day.
How did find a wedding videographer and why did choose Storybox Films?
We did a fair amount of research online looking for the right videographer and I think we found you on the Wedding Industry Awards website. We love the relaxed, romantic, and intimate style of your videos and your ability to capture some really special moments that don't always come through in photos.
