About Alex and Shan…

Alex and Shan are both lawyers working in central London, when not at the office we both enjoy traveling, fitness, and cooking/eating. They have traveled extensively as a couple to Brazil, Miami, Colombia, Champagne, Warsaw, Cyprus, Amsterdam, Singapore, and Bali, in the last 18 months alone. They both train a lot and enjoy rock climbing and cycling. Cooking and eating are very high on the agenda - as is drinking champagne!

Their love story

The couple met at law school in central London, Alex had just graduated from Oxford, and Shan from Manchester. They were both at the College of Law and although they met in 2010 (and spoke to each other just once), they did not properly meet and date until 6 years later (after Shan sent Alex a text out of the blue!).

The wedding proposal

Shan proposed on the street they live which is a beautiful road in Islington. When they walked into their flat, Shan’s brother and wife Lex were there as a surprise - and they had decorated the whole place with flowers and balloons. They then went to dinner with them… and as another surprise, Shan had arranged for both sets of parents to be there as well! The next day we visited Alex’s grandparents to tell them the good news in person. The couple followed this with a week skiing in Verbier with friends. Excellent timing!
